Overview
Uptime Kuma is a self-hosted monitoring tool focused specifically on uptime and status checks, rather than the broader metrics/logs/traces scope of a full observability stack. It checks services over HTTP(S) (including keyword and JSON-query matching), TCP, ping, DNS records, WebSocket, Steam game servers, and Docker containers, with configurable intervals as short as 20 seconds.
It notifies you through more than 90 supported services, including Telegram, Discord, Slack, Pushover, and email, and can generate multiple public status pages that can each be mapped to their own custom domain. Other features include certificate expiry tracking, proxy support, 2FA, and multi-language support.
Uptime Kuma is a fit for individuals and teams that want a simple, self-hosted way to know when a service goes down and to publish a status page, rather than a full metrics-and-dashboards platform like Prometheus and Grafana.
