Rook
Kubernetes storage orchestrator that automates deploying, managing, and scaling storage systems like Ceph as native Kubernetes services.
Overview
Rook turns storage systems - most commonly Ceph (also in this catalog) - into Kubernetes-native services, handling deployment, scaling, upgrades, and failure recovery through Kubernetes operators instead of manual storage administration. A team gets a fully managed, self-healing storage cluster running as ordinary Kubernetes resources.
Rook is a fit for teams that want to run Ceph or similar storage systems on Kubernetes without operating them by hand, complementing rather than replacing the underlying storage engine.
