Portainer
Lightweight web UI and API for managing Docker, Swarm, Kubernetes, and ACI container environments from a single dashboard.
Overview
Portainer Community Edition is a service-delivery platform for containerized applications that gives you a graphical interface (and an extensive API) for managing containers, images, volumes, and networks across Docker, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, and Azure Container Instances environments. Rather than running kubectl or docker commands directly, teams manage their orchestrator resources through Portainer's UI.
It runs as a single container that can be deployed on any cluster, as either a Linux or Windows-native container. A separate Portainer Business Edition builds on the same open-source base and adds features like role-based access control and commercial support for organizations that need them.
Portainer is a fit for teams that want a GUI layer over Docker/Kubernetes container management - alongside the current catalog's CLI-first tools like Kubernetes and Terraform - for day-to-day operational visibility rather than infrastructure provisioning.
